Certified Private Tutors Scholarship

What is it?

A scholarship that supports students attending a microschool.

How Does It Work?

You can use the scholarship to attend an eligible microschool, and any remaining funds can be accessed through your education savings account to further support your child’s educational needs.

What is required?

PEP students must:

  • Declare a grade level,
  • Submit a Student Learning Plan (SLP), annually.
  • Annually take a state-approved national norm referenced test
  • Withdraw as a full-time public or microschool student or terminate a home education program.

There are no specific hourly requirements for students, and parents are not required to keep a record of the number of instructional hours/days.

Personalized Education Program

Customize the education of your child with unique abilities with a scholarship worth an average of $10,000. This scholarship gives families access to an education savings account (ESA) that acts like a bank account in which you can direct funds toward a combination of programs and approved providers. This includes schools, therapists, specialists, curriculum, technology, a college savings account and more

Unique Abilities

For A Unique Child Children with unique abilities may have different needs when it comes to their education. We believe they deserve an opportunity to thrive and learn in an environment that supports their success.

The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) enables families to personalize the education of their students by directing funds to where they’re needed most. The funds can be used for a combination of programs and approved expenses including therapists, specialists, curriculum, microschool, a college savings account and more.

New Worlds Scholarship Accounts

New Worlds Scholarship Accounts provide access to a flexible education savings account (ESA). The ESA functions like a bank account with funds you can spend on educational resources.

Dollars from this scholarship must be used in ways that improve reading and/or math.

This includes:

  • Part-time tutoring in reading and math
  • Summer or after-school programs designed to improve reading or math skills
  • Curriculum or instructional materials, including books and some technology items
