Over the past six weeks, my third grader has experienced remarkable growth in his writing skills thanks to Dr. Alonzo Williams Jr. at Driven With A Purpose Academy, Inc. Before starting the program, writing assignments were often a struggle for him—he’d get frustrated, his sentences were short, and he rarely added any details. After working with Dr. Williams, I've noticed such a change. My child is now more confident about putting his ideas on paper. He’s writing longer paragraphs, using descriptive words, and even checking his own work for mistakes. There’s a real excitement when he shares his stories or essays with us now, something I hadn’t seen before. The encouragement and strategies Dr. Williams provided made writing less intimidating and more fun. During the 2024-2025 academic year, my daughter made incredible progress in her reading and comprehension skills, and I owe so much of that to Dr. Alonzo Williams Jr. at Driven With A Purpose Academy, Inc. Before working with Dr. Williams, she often struggled to sound out new words and would get discouraged easily when reading longer passages. After a year with Dr. Williams, her confidence and ability have soared. She’s now reading books that used to intimidate her, and she does it with real enthusiasm. The biggest change has been in her decoding skills—she’s able to break down unfamiliar words on her own, and her reading has become much more fluent. This has made a huge difference in her comprehension too; she’s understanding and remembering what she reads, and she’s more engaged in classroom discussions. The support, patience, and targeted instruction from Dr. Williams have made all the difference. I’m so grateful for Driven With A Purpose Academy's positive impact on my daughter’s education and her love for reading.
